The Faculty Of Applied Sciences is one of the two pioneer Faculty of the Garden City University College.
The aim of the faculty is to produce innovative; well-grounded and well-rounded computer programmers, Systems Analysts, Web Developers, Computer Technicians and entrepreneurs who can meet the challenges of our time and serve as agents for social change in an increasingly sophisticated global village.Graduates have the competence to apply the most recent techniques in the area of computing and are familiar with best practice and state-of-the-art approaches.

We are concerned with knowledge processing and problem solving using computers. You will study fundamental concepts related to representation, interpretation, and analysis of knowledge, as well as automation of deductive reasoning, and assessment of the value and applicability of computers. Concepts can be considered in theoretical terms and in terms of applications.

The Department of Environmental Science of the Garden City University College is entering its third year, in the 2018/2019 academic year. It currently has a 4-year B.Sc. degree programme in Environmental Science.
This is a holistic programme designed to train middle level personnel for industries including the mining sector, factories and various production organizations/institutions, Metropolitan, District and Municipal Assemblies in issues bordering on occupational health and safety, environmental hazards, first aid and general safety issues in the home, office, construction sites and public places.
This is an innovative programme which would equip students with the requisite knowledge and skills to enable successful students respond to daily health and safety issues as well as emergency situations wherever they may occur.
Senior High School graduates as well as those working in Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, Mining and other industrial establishments including manufacturing, food processing factories, etc are welcome to apply to this programme.
One achievement the Department has made during its two years of existence is the campus beautification programme it has proposed and seen being implemented in phases, at G.C.U.C. The beautification programme includes the marking of designated car parking slots, the planting of shade trees at designated places and the planting of Royal palms along the main road leading to the campus from the main road. The Department is providing the Royal palm trees required for this beautification (greening) programme.
Except for our Certificate and Professional Development Programmes, the programmes run by the Faculty are run during the Day (Regular) and Weekends. Our dedicated School provides an excellent set of courses combined with individual attention to make learning experience a great one. We have an excellent IT infrastructure made up of wireless network, well equipped computer labs and a great staff to help students have a great experience.

The Bachelor of Science program of the Faculty Of Applied Sciences is a (4) four-year program and requires 146 credit hours divided into 8 semesters of course work, project work, student internship and a management seminar.
