The Registrar of the Garden City University College at Kenyasi in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region, Dr. Kweku Owusu Kwarteng, has commended government for the decision to grant tax reliefs to privately-managed tertiary institutions.

“It is something that is great for all private universities, great in the sense that it will give us resources to infuse into our programmes and capital expenditure, ” he said.

Garden City University College (GCUC) is a pioneering institution that seeks to produce innovative, well-grounded and well-rounded business executives, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, analysts and researchers who can meet the challenges of our time, in an increasingly sophisticated global village.

GCUC was officially accredited by the National Accreditation Board, Ghana, in 2005 to run degree and diploma programmes. The University College is located in Kenyase in the greater Kumasi Metropolis. It is about five kilometers off Anloga Junction/Kumasi Airport Roundabout. GCUC has a land coverage of over 40 acres with well-established facilities that support academic and research work.
